Anyone received an email from Circles.Life to join their micro-investing product, Circles.Grow?

Can't seem to find anything online about Circles.Grow but based on their email, these are the few key features:
  • Get a Circles.Life Mastercard debit card for $1/month
  • Round up all your spending and automatically invests it for you
  • Withdraw your earnings or cancel your subscription anytime, for free
  • Earn 2-4% net returns p.a. on your Circles.Grow investments
  • No minimum sum to get started

GrabAutoinvest already quite unattractive, and they don't even charge this $1/mth fee.

Can someone explain to me why are companies so keen to launch such things (this and GrabInvest)?

So as to 'catch'/'entice' people to contribute a small part of their monies with them?

Just like how insurance agents are willing to stand at mrt stations to sell you plans, to earn commissions from the underlying asset/fund management companies of course!

GrabInvest partners with Fullerton and UOB AM and promises a non-guaranteed 1.8% p.a. returns net of all fees. Blindly throw money into the STI index also can get >3% dividends liao. :s13:

These programs are really just to suck money from the under-informed/lazy people who think money is difficult and rather hand it over to the "professionals" to manage for them.

There are always going to be people looking at investment of different risks.

I am not sure who are the targets of those low-risk negative total return investment such as Grab.
