yes, Circles still charge 30sens for one iOS activation SMS.
got charged last week for my $3.30 plan.

It's an international SMS. Quite common and normal. I think only some telco waive this.

Communication and data are supposedly essential goods, like oxygen. Govt had even intended to make WirelessSG island wide but guess it was too ambituous, so it was not materialised.

That is why hawker centre food and property and COE are rocket sky high price now, if everyone thinks must contribute to economy.

Should be able to switch plan, but not sure if you can get promo plans, given that CL's better deal are usually based on promo codes.

CL charged for the first 2 months, no refund.
You can get out anytime. Just call a number to cance. They will try to offer you something.
You can then apply new with a promo code.

If you want to keep your number, then you need to port out to another telco, then port back to CL. I guess that's the only way.

What is stopping you from porting back ?
Doesn't this largely depends on the telco that you are trying to transit to ?

No idea. These are not on their website afaik.
And if their $3.30 promo was any indication, they can end it anytime they feel like it.
