Got leave 1 star review?

Can't review unless I mark item as delivered, which then I cannot raise refund request. Ridiculous situation, so hope to spread awareness of unethical seller. Ironically Circles.Life dares to claim on their website that they're the "best customer service" for 2023/24. No more for me after this bad encounter and the horror stories of them "upgrading" people on the $0 plan with no warning.

Rightfully, you have no case against Shopee/Circles since the $8 plan was advertised as-is and delivered to you.
You are free to cancel the $8 plan after finishing 1st month since it's "No contract - cancel anytime".

Legal point of view, the main listing photo is the one that is misleading as there is no asterisk* mark on $8/mth.
This means you can purchase again next month and use this $8 for your 2nd month. But they just revised TnCs in the description...

There's really nothing you can do except to give 1-star.
Circles can play cheat by deleting the listing and relist brand new again since you are their 1st customer to leave bad review. lol.

Yes, after I reported it. But Shopee and CL both refuse to refund my purchase saying CL delivered the right goods. Luckily it is only $8. Beware of CL this untrustworthy telco.

you can decline delivery
if undelivered after a certain number of days, shopee will cancel transaction and auto refund

Well, then use this to tell Shopee and get a refund since unable to cancel anytime.
But i'm pretty sure Circles will cancel just for you and "eat" your $8 as the voucher has been utilised.

This kind of postpaid subscription service not meant to be listed on Shopee.
Bet Shopee can't differentiate between prepaid vs postpaid, like all other sellers selling ICC cards.

I called in on 24 May to terminate and they said will cancel by 30 June. Then now I received an emailer informing me the termination pushed to 31 July without additional costs. Wtf. who give them the right to extend my line without my permission!!???? I will never recommend Circles to anyone. Low life carrier. Email their cs takes forever to get a response. Hope they close down for good.

Of course no new customer will pay $9 for 40GB when many mnvo are offering 100GB for $10.
But for existing customers who used to be from $0 or $5 plan for 2-3 years, it may not be straightforward if there's no option to port the existing numbers.
Same tactic everywhere: free trial on Spotify, free 1 month for Google Storage, discount for first-time customer, etc., once they kill small competitors and dominate the market and hold your data and form your habit and lifestyle, it's difficult to find alternative options or u-turn.

I think just port out sua lah, instead of continuing to tango with the Circles antics.

Everywhere use the same tactic man. Just need to endure the pain and keep jumping ship man.
