There's only 2 exams per year for CISA, the next one is in June. If you want to find out more, you can join call the local chapter of CISA - http://www.isaca.org.sg/ to see if they conduct review class that will help in your prep.

They go by per chapter if not wrong. Total of 6 chapters.

Each chapter might be around $400-$600.

CISA exam cost ard USD$400++

Forgotten the exact price, just a rough estimation... =)

Training Partners run this class although this is not exactly a popular class.

I guess the reason could be partly due to the fact that CISSP is usually more popular, plus the CISA and CISM certifications usually require the candidates to be reasonably experienced which also makes it not too difficult to self study

Most of the CISAs/CISMs i know all self studied.

is there a preparatory course for CISA? what's the cost like?

If you are lack of working experience, I recommend this training provider (http://www.pdatrain.com.sg/) for CISA/CISM courses that prepare you for the exam. The training they provide are CITREP endorsed meaning you can claim back a portion of the course + exam fee from IDA if you sign up with them. The catch is, you must pass the exam in order to claim back the money.

If you are an experienced professional in the security field, then self study is sufficient. For CISA/CISM, just buy the study materials from isaca.org website. The review manuals and review questions will get you through the exam. Good Luck!

Does that mean we have to pass all 6 chapters in order to be CISA-certified?
Are there any other things to do after passing those chapters? :s11:
