claim Samsung warranty problem

Hi, im having some issues with my Samsung phone that was bought from another person. It is supposed to be still under warranty but I have no receipt. Will I be able to bring this phone to service center for repair?

Anyone who has experience at service center can advise? Also is there a method that they can verify the warranty without receipt?

Warranty will then be based on manufacturing date associated with the serial number..
