Hi there,

I am new to this forum. Let me introduce myself... My name is Eddy Kong and I would like to seek some help from IT experts here...

I have bought a Samsung M3 1TB external harddisk from the recent IT2014 show at MBS.

I want to use this HDD to clone my PC. But I have some questions before doing this:

1) Should I reformat the Samsung M3 HDD before I start the cloning process as the HDD already comes with a backup software?

2) Which cloning software works best? I have found out a few from the web..
EaseUS Partition Master Free?
EaseUS Todo Backup?
Acronis True Image?

Or any suggestions to a good and cheap cloning software?

3) What else do I have to take note while doing the cloning process?

Thanks and appreciate for coming back with assistance.

Cheers.

Eddy

For cloning, best to connect source and destination drives on same connection (sata) to prevent boot issue later on.

Thanks jtjt00 for reply to help me.

I am looking for possible youtube videos on this issue but cannot find any.

Do you happened to know if there are any video tutorials on this?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers.

Eddy
