Like to post a question which is much better in a sense? I know that EMC is also offering the relevant cloud computing courses?

And is there a demand for cloud computing certifications in singapore with all the hype around it now?

Well.. at least IDA seems to think so with them classifying Cloud under emerging technologies

There will be plenty of development and as well as consolidation in terms of the trainings available as this area matures

may i ask, what is the difference between cloud computing and the traditional way of accessing email via Internet either using OWA, or accessing to company internal LAN via internet either using SSL-VPN or citrex xenapp/xendesktop?

Just a name change?

Not sure about the others but if you are serious about cloud computing and want to make a career out of it, I suggested you have a look at "RightScale". If you know way around RightScale I guess you can do better on any cloud vendor.

Cloud Computing Training/courses

Have anyone heard of this organisation, Global Science & Technology Forum (GSTF) where they provide Cloud Computing Certification courses ?

Hi js73132, I’ve managed to browse through and saw this thread in HWZ. Let me do a short introduction of Global Science and Technology Forum (GSTF). GSTF (globalstf . org) has been a pioneer in introducing Technology based (none product/vendor centric) training and certification in Cloud Computing and Business Analytics (including Big Data, Data Science and Data Governance). Our courses in Cloud Computing is now offering worldwide in partnership with EXIN (which operates in more than 150 countries).

RapidStart is an Authorized Training Partner for GSTF and has been conducting the above mentioned courses to participants from both the government and private sectors. To learn more about us, you may browse through our website (rapidstart . com . sg) for more information or you may contact me at jeremy @ globalstf . org / +65 6327 0164 and we can discuss further on the Cloud Computing course (or some other courses) which you are interested in.

Our training programs are non-vendor centric and technology based. Tools used in training are largely Open-Source based. Below are our programs in Cloud Computing and Business Analytics:
• Cloud Computing
• Cloud Security
• Business Analytics
• Big Data
• Big Data Science (Hadoop)
• Data Quality & Governance
• Internet of Things (IoT)

Hope to hear from you soon. Cheers! :)

Depending on the type of aaS, contract, you don't own and thus, don't need to manage your company's infrastructure. No capital investment needed. No operational investment needed on the hardware/software, only on the service.
