Thought medical school conduct aptitude interview to determine if you are suitable to pursue the course heavily subsidised by government.
Last time (not sure if it still is the practice) quote was set for female applicants to medical school as upon graduation some may practice for a few years after serving the bond and quit to look after kids -a waste of public funds

One place in the medical faculty wasted on this artsy fartsy bum!

You know how many people try to get into medical faculty and failed.

Waste taxpayers' money on scholarship for this ungrateful person.

Thats why SG look for foreign doc, we have a scholar who was given scholarship and rather break bond than become doctor
