Thinking of going japan during cny..looking at hokkaido cos never go before..most businesses still open as usual? What's the temperature like there?

Hokkaido receive most snow in Jan and Feb... so be prepared for transport disruption... have a backup place to visit in case of train or road closure... temp should be 0 to -10... lower if u go further north/east...

Woah, didn't know so cold wor. Whole japan also snowing in January? Will Tokyo be a better choice in terms of weather?

What weather u meant by better choice? Some pple go there especially for the snow lor...

If dun want snow... Okinawa no snow... should be cooling then...

Tokyo of coz will snow less... avg temp maybe around single digit to ard 10C... but i've experience heavy snow in Tokyo late december before... so depends on luck and weather... this yr is expected to have more snow due to La Nina...
