I mean you can buy Tiong Hoe beans at Vivo Ntuc, they have a small shopfront there which is closed due to **. Still can get beans off the shelf though.

Honestly, the Red Mart Coffee Beans is the best bang for the buck.
Tried many different brands before, and this is still the cheapest and decently good aroma
$17 for 1kg

I threw half the bag away, astringent plenty.
Unless you take bitterness as the aroma.

I gave it a leeway of pulling a shorter extraction, to have a higher oil ratio also don't work. :(

This one is the best roaster in Singapore. All my cold brew batches are made using their beans and taste better than majority of cafes cold brew.

Nylon is also good but their prices are a bit higher.

Tiong hoe imo > Nylon.
Don't know why Nylon was so highly rated,i find their espresso are very flat and thin. Smoother in the acidity though. Not a big fan of light roast.

The last time i bought from tiong hoe was grachala or something. Quite complex but tilt more to the sour and acidic side, at that time they said is their less acidic blend. Not everyone will like.

I normally make as espresso though. :o

I guess depends on who pulls the espresso shots at their store, the young chap does it the best with good crema. Quality drops a bit when it's some other staff doing it.

At home I only make V60 and cold brew - I can do it with cheap equipment so see no point in paying premium for cafe staff to make for me. Sometimes the standard of their V60 pours totally cmi.

Tiong Hoe some of their staff are ginnas with little product knowledge, must identify the old birds and ask them for advice.

If you like darker roast I think can try Yahava. Tolido Espesso Nook uses their beans also. Too dark for me to drink everyday, but once in a while is fine.

just for other butties wondering how I brew my coffee.... I use the Aeropress!

I prefer it to the traditional filter/v60 method!

just go shopee/lazada and buy there, make sure you get the original!
