Hi All,

Intending to build a new Desktop PC since the last time I've used a desktop was about 6 years ago, hence need some advice and feedback from the experts here. I'm considering a m-ITX build that is compact and saves some space, as well as future-proofing. Gonna use it for productivity (ms office, web browsing, music etc.) and some light gaming.

Been doing a bit of looking around and came up with the following specs:

CPU + MOBO - i5-8400 + Asrock Z370M-ITX/ac - $488?
Graphics - ZOTAC GTX1050TI Mini 4GB - $180 (after coupon offset from lazada)
SSD - SAMSUNG EVO 950 250GB M.2 - $128 (from shopee after coupon)
PSU - SEASONIC M12II EVO 520W 80+ Bronze Full Modular - $105.9 (lazada)
RAM - Preferably 8GB 2400MHz - $?? Any recommendations ?
Casing - Fractal Core 500 - $99

Budget is around $1200. No need for monitor, mouse, keyboards and OS as i already have them. Is that an suitable build? Would i need a CPU cooler?

thanks alot!

You can use the Intel default CPU cooler if you enjoy a noisy system.
