compact camera

My budget is about $800-$1K.

Not planning to get a DSLR as I not very interested in learning on exchangeable lens n etc. Just looking for a camera that has good zoom and good at taking night shots.

Was looking at canon powershot, nikon coolpix and fujifilm. Any one got any recommendation?

I did a little survey around funan today... The rx100ii prices are in the range of Amazon's usd$698... Cathayphoto being most expensive at $909(besides sony rrp)

Didn't really memorize the shop name... all comes with 16gb sdcard.
Funan Level 2... one is $880(a handful with same quote), the other with blue sign is cheapest at $870, SLRR $877 w/card reader.

Sony store at Funan selling at $999 with 16gb and free extra battery.


Got one shop at lvl1 quoted me $800, but I wasn't easy with it...

i guess 800 doesnt include GST?
btw any 1st gen RX100 still in shops?

Someone in clubsnap said that Rk100III is coming out in May. Maybe after that the price will drop for RK100II.

I read a few thread and most people got it for about $880 max from the few shops that you mention.
