Promised a review after applying so here goes;
Clarity of the screen instantly hit rock bottom after applying but since its a privacy screen, will just have to give and take.
Day time work fine but not fantastic cos the screen is still visible at certain angels even though it is blurred out but if the one standing next to you is close and smart enough, he/she will still have a good rough idea what you are doing.
One thing i really don't like about Clasy privacy SP is that it is very tinted...way too tinted in my opinion. Remind me of those $12 so-called "privacy" screen from those push cart stalls which basically provide 0% of privacy, just darken the screen only. In fact, i had asked myself many times... did i bought my the overprice version of the $12 "privacy SP"?
And here is the real deal-breaker (for me at least);
Night time this privacy SP sucks. It will only work good if you dim it to the max possible. For me, my setting is auto brightness/+3 and this is the max i can take, any lower and i can't see clearly anymore but if you bump up the brightness than that's it already...privacy is all gone and the one next to you will have a clear view of everything. Its as good as having a normal clear SP.
Being a ex 3M privacy SP user on my last 2 phones (BB9900 & S3), i do understand the qualities of a good privacy SP. I had also used Dataflex privacy SP on my S3 too and it served me well until one incident scratch it very badly and i replaced it with 3M. IMHO, Clasy is definitely not on par to both 3M and Dataflex...not even close.
The price of Clasy isn't very attractive too, it is just a mere $0.90 cent cheaper than my S3 3M privacy SP. Thus that is why i said, did i got myself a overpriced "chiong" push-cart stall version?
Even my wife said i kanah "carrot"...she aren't privacy SP user and she herself commented that this privacy SP just basically darken my screen only and she can still roughly guess what i am doing on my phone.
IMHO, 3M not only maintain the clarity of the phone screen but yet still give a good level of privacy regardless day and night...at the very least, i need not hassle myself with the brightness setting. Only downside of 3M is that it have a fair bit of rainbow effect where else Clasy is matt and non-reflective.
As i said, Clasy will only work good if you dim the brightness to the lowest possible and even though i dun mind to compromise abit but i not a owl or cat, i still need my screen bright enough for me to see clearly.
So my PERSONAL OPINION is save the money and wait for 3M to release...$XX down the drain for me, could get another case or pump petrol.
