Hi guys,

Thinking of getting the term insurance from tokio marine($1802 per annum) based on comparefirst. Seems like there is no early CI. How to add on if I want?

Axa(1535 per annum) is cheaper based on the website. Why is there a difference?

Thanks in advance

Early CI for TM needs to be tagged to life plan. For term plan, seems that AIA and manulife have standalone ones.

AXA has 30 CI for early stage until 75. It is a term because when u reached 75 and still healthy, then it will be 0 value.

Hi, comparefirst only allows comparison based on death/tpd/CI for term/life plans in the market. Early CI is left out from the comparison due to the variations in the market from payout amounts per early CI to number of CIs covered etc.

Early CI is available in both term and life plans in the market. Feel free to PM me if you require more info.

Any idea why AXA is cheaper than the others for a similar term plan? Anything in the fine prints that I'm missing?

Nope, premiums are calculated based on each company's actuary team. It comprises of costs to the company, claims experience, strength in certain products etc. No one company will/can have the best plans for all product categories in the market.

AXA term insurance for the same amount of coverage is cheaper than the other insurance companies offered thru the website.

Going by your explanation, it means that AXA has less fees compared to the rest? Not sure about the claim experience with AXA though, anyone have experience with that?

Hi Can anyone provide answers to the following questions, please:

1. What is the maximum age for a term insurance coverage?

2. What is the maximum age for Critical Illness (CI) if it is attached to a term insurance?

Thank you.

Hi, AXA is currently running a promotion of 15% perpetual discount for its term policy. I believe that contributes to the cheaper premium too.

So there is no way to get the early CI if I sign up for Axa term plan based on comparefirst?

You will not be able to get it even if you sign it through an agent as the early CI rider for AXA is a standalone plan by itself. If you already have a life policy, you might want to look into attaching an early CI rider to it, which will be a cheaper alternative.

So anyone bought from the direct sales yet? Share the experience? I heard they make you watch video or something, is it true?
