Gonna leave SIngtel's ass once contract is up, exorbitant price to pay though the network is definitely the strongest in SG.
I can live with a little less robust network w the MVNOs...

Of course it is perfectly fine to go with MVNOs, but I would not say the following recontract pricing for Singtel SIM Only is exorbitant. For sure it is not the cheapest but the price is certainly not very high either.

In fact, I would say Singtel values existing postpaid customer in this aspect, as new customers will have to pay higher price than the existing customers.

Recontract offer for existing Singtel Mobile Postpaid Customers.
100GB of 5G data at $20.19/mth for first 3 mths (60GB of 4G data thereafter) + 1,000 mins + 500 SMS + 12 FREE mths Caller ID

just to share at the end of the 12 mths the price will revert to sim only plus 30 price and without caller id inclusive. total should be $35.

Yeah, then $45 paid IIRC for 60GB & 4G, I am not sure about this sorry ass offer they are providing.
Its worst than their own subbrand GOMO. IMO its definitely exorbitant with the current telco climate w better oferrings and cheaper prices.
I'm currently on this and honestly, I do not see any reason why I should continue w them, no value adding apart from their more reliable network.

Same for their Internet services, left them and never looked back. lol

Just to share that you can recontract before the contract expires and Singtel has offered similar offer since 2019 (from what I know).

It is perfectly fine you switch to other providers. Just to share that you can recontract before the contract expires and Singtel has offered similar S$20 per month recontract offer since 2019 (from what I know).

For Singtel Fibre Internet, that is a different story. It offers Singtel ONR for new sign-up since 2018 and the ONR is a pain. So it is perfectly fine to ditch Singtel Fibre. I do not recommend new sign-up to go with Singtel Fibre.

Comparing with GOMO is like comparing SQ with Scoot and asking why Scoot can provide lower fares. Of course a direct Singtel subscription will be more expensive.

You get physical stores with in person customer service, an app with a rewards scheme, paper billing if you wish, and of course a much higher priority service and none of that hicard apn rubbish.

Yes, I've been with Singtel SIM Only for many years, $20 a month - current plan is free for first 3 months.

However this year I'm planning for SIMBA as I'm "exhausted" waiting, searching, calling for similar pricing Plan to be offered by Singtel. I wish Singtel will just anticipate my end of contract & just offer me a similar deal.

Yes, one can recontract before contract ends but I wish the new contract can continue after current contract ends, not before. So in my case I'll try to get as close to the contract end date before calling Singtel & then hold my breath hoping I'll get a similar or a better deal - my concerns were, "What if I'm not offered this?".

Actually you do not need to call, just click the special recontract link. But I understand the concerns. So it is good to have the recontract done about one month before the expire date. Just in case they reject to give you the offer, you can have other options, for example, to go with Singtel based MVNO or Gomo. And if you really do not like such uncertainty, then yes it is good to go with no contract options like Singtel based MVNO or Gomo. Personally I will consider Singtel Gomo and CMLink as the backup.

As far as I know Singtel will usually grant the recontract offer for post paid customers. And then there is usually a less attractive offer (six month CID OFF and not 12 months) as a backup.

Exceptions: Singtel SIM Only CIS customers may get rejected.

Recontract offer special link for existing Singtel Mobile Postpaid Customers.

So far I've called as I've 2 numbers under my name, so I want to make sure they get the same contract.

These 2 numbers used to expire around National Day & so I usually get good offers. But after years of recontracting these 2 have moved further away from National Day 😂

To each his own, dont see any value in those "services" provided. Just adds costing which are unnecessary imo.
And its a flatter to claim Singtel is SQ, the only part I will agree that its "SQ" will be the network availability.

My current plan which came with first 3 months free, was over the phone too. This was after I went to a Singtel shop & the person quoted me $35.

After that I was so lost & dejected but fortunately the CSO over the phone offered me the current plan. It seems this plan is not provided to anyone calling in. I did share with someone in the HWZ Forum but he was unsuccessful.

You certainly have very good negotiation power.

Anything better than the S$20.19 per month for Singtel SIM Only needs some negotiation power (as yours come with 3 month free).

5G not necessary for gaming either, it’s more like first class priority over the unwashed peasants on 4G. It makes a difference when there are too many peasants around, otherwise nothing.
Unless you have a chauffeur, how are u using your phone?

Nice to see others here having the same sentiment.
Been on Singtel $20 SIM Only past few years given the value proposition has been strong network even compared with Singtel's MVNOs, Singtel in the past few months however have been an absolute crapshow, my SO's SIMBA consistently outperforms my phone even in underground conditions.

The shift to 5G has severely impacted 4G users. Tried to get some sort of free 5G activation from CSO but to no avail, he could only offer a "Network Refresh", my speeds are still sub-10mbps on an empty purple line train.

Will definitely be looking towards something like Giga in 3 months time.

My only "complaint" of the Singtel SIM Only is having to be at the "mercy" of them every year to renew contract at the same $20/mth plan. Well m1 has it as forever, though idk how long is their forever. at least dont have the hassle of having to do it every year and it comes with 5G too.
