I know in the past its not possible, but checking any changes recently. My parent has a simba prepaid simcard, can it be port over to other telco or mvno postpaid plans?

Only certain telcos provide prepaid to postpaid convert.
SIMBA itself is able to convert from Prepaid to Postpaid too IIRC.

Those M1 mvno's usually allow prepaid port in to their post paid plans. eg. Circles.Life, Changi Mobile

Good !
If only i dont have to renew every year ! Lol
Agreed...that was why I got frustrated yearly chasing for same pricings, & decided to switch to SIMBA Seniors $5 instead. I had 2 mobile accounts with Singtel for over 30 years by then.

I told Singtel CSO that Singtel could have entrapped me for 5 years with the same pricings & I wouldn't mind...but I guess not all are willing to stick to so many years.

The newer SIM only plan comes with Asia Roam which is quite attractive for travelling within the Asia Region. If the recontract price can include this, I would not mind paying $25....haha
So far Singtel network is among the more stable one. Had been using Singtel since the 90s under my parent's name. And under my name for 25 years. Really hate to switch to other telco.

just let the plan auto run would be best... every 12 mths (coming up soon) i gotta eat humble pie and por lor sor with them and go thru the same justification why i should be still pay 20.XX per mth or the 15.xx per month. arrgh annoying.

by the way does the $15.xx/mth link still works ? or its only exclusive few ? those who get it on edm or sms will get it those who dont will not get ?

Simba doesn't work for you?
My case was ST gave me worse experiences than Simba so I switched.

I doubt ST MNO will ever go down to $10 unless many jump out to the other MNOs...

Simba seems to be getting more and more seniors signing up lately. I even thinking of switching the parent's line.

neh idw to try simba, dont wanna take the risk. im good with the traffic lights telco...ok maybe just green and red camps. i dont wanna go orange.

i need the wifi calling feature. (not sure if mvno has it). i have poor reception at my work area so im relying heavily as on wifi calling with my phone on airplane mode most of the time to the battery doesnt drain. but outside work all works fine.

Need to venture out to discover that the grass on the other side is indeed greener! :s13:

I'd an M1 line from the very early days, but decided to port out recently to save cost as it's just a spare line. No issue with connection.

But ya, you should know best what works for you. 👌

So for this is the best deal for Singtel SIM Only, let’s hope with 5G+ Enhanced launching in August align with SG60, perhaps this special plan will also be further boosted on to maybe 8 or 10GB MY roaming data or even better include ID and TH.

Not sure what happen after MY roaming 6GB use finish, @xiaofan will it auto cut off until next bill cycle or start to billed as pay as you roam data so with this given roaming we need to be very careful?

Sorry I am not so sure about the roaming stuff as I do not really use roaming. You may want to check with Singtel.

Customers will receive 12 months of free 6GB Malaysia roaming data. Excess usage is charged at $5/GB, billed
per MB ($0.005/MB).
