I have many PDF docs that need to be resized. I tried using Yosemite's Preview and exporting it and selecting Quartz filter then reduce file size but the quality was so bad that I could barely see a thing. These are exam result slips and transcripts so they do need to be clear.
I did a search on Google for PDF compression software and there are many. Does anyone who has used these compression software before know if its normal for the quality to be that bad? Or is it because Preview is free so that's why the quality is not ideal?
Zipping the PDFs don't work as the size is still quite big. Last resort will be to rescan everything on my Canon MP545 and choose black & white though I don't know if that will make much difference. Or I could scan and export as jpg instead of PDF but again I don't know if that makes much difference.
