1) Charges on Pearson VUE
-The exam fees is $308 but does it includes GST etc etc?

2) Which test center would be the best?
-I am currently looking at NTUC CertCentral at Redhill

3) How is the difficulty of the exams?
-What will be the questions ask?
-How do I get prepared? (I have already read thru the A+ books already)

1) Charges on Pearson VUE
-The exam fees $308 is GST inclusive

2) Which test center would be the best?
-NTUC CertCentral at Redhill not bad.
-all PCs are new
-recept area quite small
anyway, test center is not an important factor

3) How is the difficulty of the exams?
never take this exam before, no idea ..

If you want a class room setting then go for those.

If not, Comptia actually has its own self-paced online learning portal called CertMaster.

Their bundles comes with exam vouchers, and online course. Quite value for money at about SGD$400 (USD$297).

Believe that exams are charged separately from the instructor-led courses by your researched companies.

And no, I do not work for them.

Why take comptia a+?
What kind of IT specialization are you aiming for after learning the basics?

Why not? Everyone has to start from somewhere and many companies are hiring entry level role.

For freshies, I would think that starting pay is very much dependent on your education qualifications, grades, CCAs and anything else mention worthy. All else equal, compTia+ would be an added advantage.

Start look around job portals and you will get a good sense of salary matters. Good luck with your job hunt!

if you are looking for any type of IT job, you don't need comtia cert unless you plan to work in a data center role or a role that is network focused.
some helpdesk roles more or less can pay around this dip range of salary.
