Computer auto reboots

Hey guys,

My rig started to have problems, it auto reboots when i play games. I did a memtest and kept an eye on the temps and seems like no problems there. Gpu temps range from 63c - 68c and Cpu temps under 50c. Changed the thermal paste and cleaned the rig as well it was not that dusty. Is there anything i left out before concluding that the psu is faulty?

have u run stress test on gpu?
next maybe u can show your whole pc voltage?

voltages as in those shown in HWMonitor?

was running 3dmark and the com reboot halfway.

saw on msi afterburner my gpu limit is 100% is that normal?

On event viewer it is Event ID-41 Kernel power.

don't need troubleshoot liao, send PSU for RMA, time saved on troubleshooting by the time you find out the actual problem

if problem still persists after rma, unplug all usb devices and do stress test

i cannot have down time for my CPU so when i recently went to RMA my PSU, i went sls to get myself a new one to use

unless your wattage isn't high enough, a GPU with issues shouldn't cause reboots

try using PSU 650w/750w

You may borrow a PSU 650w or higher from your friend to test first.

I think 550W is not enough for your spec.

unfortunately no friend has a spare psu.

550w should be enough, i calculated before i built.

u can check with tech dynamic on that matters.

alright thanks everyone. I emailed them and they told me i can bring the Psu itself down to test, do not need to bring the cables. Hope they give me a 1 to 1 exchange..

went to tech dynamic to rma, they lent me a replacement. The problem did not occur last night but today it started again after i cleaned my pc. My cpu temps are around 45c - 51c. Is there a likelyhood it is my motherboard?

Just tested that one of my ram is faulty as well. Was unable to boot when testing with the faulty one.

lol, u just bought that pc so fast have mobo issues? next which cooler are u using? also is that temp your idle or load temp?

as for the faulty ram, did u tested that ram in each slots with memtest as well?

not sure leh.. Hyper 212x. That temp is idle after i bench my gpu. Idle temp is about 40c+

yea i tested with slot two/four.

but tbh, idle at that consider not bad lei, given that your power setting might be high performance.

if not try changing the fan speed?

well as for your ram if tested really spoil just try eraser method 1st, if still cant work, RMA it as well.

i set the fan on full speed.

i thinking to change to water cooling you think it will help? last time no such issue.

depends on which aio u buying and u at most get 10 +/- deg lower(this is what i think.) otherwise u just gonna be around 5 deg +/- as your casing airflow and push pull config can affect the cooling as well.
