Hi,

My computer at home recently is unable to POST. It gets stuck while on the POST screen, no beep, and is stuck loading up the harddrives in the screen.

Before this happened, the computer became unbearably slow and kept hanging. Took around 15 minutes just to get to the log in screen. And once logged in, it just hanged there. And it runs on a Samsung 840 Evo.

Do you think the mobo is spoilt?

Thanks!

P.S If more info is required, please tell me :)

Remove all other drives except the Samsung EVO.

Remove everything CPU, RAM, HDD, SSD and DVD drive if any.

Before you do anything. Remove the CMOS Battery first. Make sure PSU is turned off.

- Reinsert the battery
- Resit the CPU
- Use only 1 ram
- And only SSD

Try boot up.

Tried all that, before trying I realised I made a mistake and it does beep once.

Anyway, I tried everything and nothing worked, it still hangs at the bios screen after listing down the CPU name now. What to do next?

Report to Nigel at #02-32, Sim Lim Square with your rig.
