Computer cannot power up.

My desktop like suddenly cannot power up.
The coolremaster casing the power button only show flashing light... like flash 1 times every sec.

What could be the problem?

Pc not very old... about 1 years plus... assemble in sls...

might be CMOS battery, try changing it

best if got spare PSU, might be due to degrading rails

whats the list of your pc parts? have u tried to use mobo onboard power button to test it?

Haven't really test it. Motherboard also got on board power button...

I have not troubleshoot yet. ..
Have not see the fan...
Your is mother board problem?
How u fixed it? Swap mother board?

Haven't really test it. Motherboard also got on board power button...

is there any way to short the connections to get it boot up?

At first I thought it's PSU also. But end up is motherboard cannot receive power. I RMA-ed the motherboard at Avertek.

I got old pus lying around... hooked it to 2 powee pt at mb...


Same problem... cpu and gfx fan spin up and die off... and it repeats itself..

I bought from pc theme. ..
So I need to strip out mb and bring to avertech?

Asrock warranty how many years? Where is avertech?

3years, should be still at between lavendar and kallang.

If you confirm it's motherboard problem then bring the mobo and go RMA. Asrock I think 3 years if I'm not wrong. Avertek is near lavender MRT. Can Google for the address.

I also dunno how to confirm... any idea where or who can confirm...

Very troublesome... need to remove everything... and after that need to put paste and install cpu back...

Wonder can go back pctheme and pay them to put back everything...

By the way... mb is 1 to 1 exchange or need to wait?

Mine was 1 to 1. Quite easy to put back everything together. Suggest u bring mobo, cpu and ram to avertek. They will test before RMA.

they suggest to bring mobo, cpu and ram down...

don't have same model to replace 1 to 1 .. and need some time to send back to china and maybe can get back only in nov...

i going to bring whole pc down... and see whether there is similar model to replace
...
they say can pay a sum of money to ask them to help to swap motherboard...

keeping finger crossed and hope that this can be done...
