Hi guys,

Looking to revamp my entire workstation since I'm building a new PC soon and since my current workstation is a little worn.

I'm the type who loves workstations with "shelves" because they make full use of the space (instead of just 1 flat tabletop type), so I can put printer/laptop on the top shelf, bottom shelf put router/woofer/HDD/power strip etc etc.

My current workstation is something like the old kind - it's looks something like what I see on vHive's catalog:

One other great advantage is that it has wheels and easily movable if I need to do any type of cleaning/tidying. It's also a sort of minimalist design with proper support, my CPU has ventilation etc. which i like.

There is only 1 huge drawback - I can't fit in a proper widescreen monitor. I'm guessing such workstations are outdated since they only allow for CRT or square LCDs? My current monitor is a 10 year old square LCD btw.

Also, the wood of my workstation is totally peeling off. Probably can't blame it since I've used it for 14 years. However it's overall structure is still going strong.

I've sourced around and only found this table from vHive that seems suitable enough.

Anyone has other suggestions? I'm open to tabletops as well, though I don't prefer them as much >.<

Ikea... I think the model name is Fredrik.

Otherwise contact Sitoca. Last time I was at Challenger Funan, they had a catalogue and rep. there.

I can hardly find any literature on Sitoca. Any idea about their prices? Based on reliability I'm sure their products are the best, but I just can't find any information on pricing.

The only place i can think of is Funan Challenger. No point searching the web as these's little info on Sitoca (even on the official website).

Although i don't have recommandations, i would advice you to avoid Ikea bekant. The tabletop had warped issue which I experience personally.

Ikea used to sell Jerker, a modular system that allow one to place almost any computer hardware you can imagine.

Unfortunately, Ikea discontinue the desk for some unknown/dumb reasons and never make anything close to it. It was cheap, less than $200 for the main frame + table top. sigh...

Sitoca is very durable, I still have a 20 years old desk standing strong. the center did sack a little but that was due to me putting 2x 21" CRT on top--a combine weight of 60KG. Like the above stated, you should visit Challenger Funan to have a look. the quality trash the overprice vhive.

Unless you up your budget to near 4 digit, you won't find any desk tat rival Sitoca in sturdiness and durability.

Wow...this one is really overkill hahahaha. I don't need such large scale stuff, neither does my room have that much space >.<

KIV vHive first, shall go Challenger at Funan for a look. I heard the selection there is very limited though, is that true? :/

My first computer desk is a Sitoca. Very durable and solid after 10+ years of abuse. Unfortunately my taste had changed and i don't like the color (its all white) now.

Sitoca is almost guaranteed 'lifetime' I presume. My Dad is still using the previous owner's pc desk which is about 10 years old prior to us coming in. The desk is still strong after 3 years later.

Yeah, the colour is much left to be desired though, unless one prefers a retro theme.

Very oldschool man, recall when I was growing up, almost everyone who got a home pc would have a table in this style :)

Found these two via google:

http://www.homestore.sg/furniture/home-office/office-furniture-singapore/herod-computer-table.html
http://www.homestore.sg/furniture/home-office/office-furniture-singapore/chloe-computer-table.html

Not sure about quality...

Yesh this is the kind I'm referring to hahaha. For the first one, I wonder if it can fit in a widescreen monitor? Maybe I gotta call them to ask :/

Give them a call. I saw the Fredrik on display a week or so ago at Alexandra.

Sorry I didn't. The name of the desk should be Fredde, not Fredrik. No need to go down. Just give them a call and ask.

Thanks! But I realised that it's too wide >.< 180 cm is a little too big for me :( I can only go with a max of 120 cm since my room isn't that big >.<
