Hi all,

I bought my motherboard together with processor and power supply over to my friend's house to troubleshoot for any of his dead components. It ended up his motherboard was dead.
Now my problem is after I have brought back my components to my house and fix it up, the computer does not post. There is no BIOS screen appearing and it is just plain blank black screen. I kept hearing the CPU fan spin very aggressively for 5 seconds then it slow down for few seconds and the cycle repeats. Anyone knows what could be the problem? It was fine few hours ago.

Thanks guys

Check if your CPU fan is placed properly, reseat RAMs (if possible, to another slot) and if worse case scenario; plug out CMOS battery and plug in and it should work.

I have tried resitting cmos switch and ram but now my power supply just tripped for 1 second or less. It doesn't allow my computer to switch on

Hmm I checked already whether there are no loose cables. 24pin, 8 pin, cpu fan, graphics card, harddrive and ssd all are attached properly. I also checked whether there is loose screws sticking behind the motherboard, dont have also.
Could it be so coincidentally my power supply died?

My PSU is FSP Aurum Gold 600W I bought in 2011 May. It was just 5 years old 1 month ago.

And no unfortunately I do not have a spare psu due to this is my first build 5 years ago
