Computer freezes on first boot

My computer suddenly freezes up whenever I start the computer for the first time. After reboot it will work fine for the entire day until the next boot up.

I initially thought it was a problems with windows, did a clean install problem still persisted. Decided to install Ubuntu Linux instead as a double boot but the problem persist even on Linux so I’m guessing it should be a hardware issue?

What could be the possible source of problem?

Maybe can try to disable fast startup in your windows....

Already did that previously.

But like I said the problem occurs in Ubuntu as well so unlikely it’s a software issue

try resitting your ram and clean the golden contacts with eraser..

I’m suspecting it’s the psu but I don’t have a spare on hand to test.. any other methods to test psu problem?

And the tricky part is it only has error in first cold boot. So whatever I do it might seemed as if it was working until the next day..

Check bios setting, disable fast boot or increase voltage etc.

Suspect motherboard issue.
