Computer freezes randomly with buzzing noise for 1-2 seconds

Recently, I've been experiencing some problems with my setup which is about a year old. My computer freezes for about 1-2 seconds with a loud buzzing noise and then go back to normal. This happens like 3-4 times a week, mainly while I'm watching streams on Twitch or Youtube videos.

Anybody knows what the possible problem could be?

CrystalDiskInfo shows that all my HDD/SSD health as "Good" so probably not the drives.

Thanks!

DPC latency
Check what latencymon picks up

I've run latencymon and it seems to detect some problems. I dont understand what it means though :s11:

Check your drivers tab too, again also while u do ur normal stuff.

Normally you look out for the drivers with the worst execution times, google them (check what they're related to) and voila see if you can fix that driver belonging to that hardware. If the issue persist then its also possible the problem manifests from that hardware itself.

But from your own screenshot the audio buzz and freeze comes from excess dpc latency.

These might be some commonly linked stuff
directx -> GPU driver
storport -> storage driver
hdaudiobus -> audio driver
ndis, tcpip-> network driver

Hmm, I notice that in the drivers tab that there are a few with significantly higher execution time as compared to others. Not too sure how to interpret the results though. Will try to reinstall my network driver to check since I see tcpip and ndis with pretty high execution time.

Also, would a BIOS update help? I have not installed the latest update for my BIOS which was released a few months back.

use DDU to remove your graphics driver, it will clear off the residue. Then do a clean install.

Normally more than 1ms execution time the item likely has a problem.

Your 1st ss looks like gpu, 2nd looks like something's up with network drivers.

I think BIOS has little impact. Unless you're using power management (like balanced plan) and there's a BIOS issue or bad cpu overclock or bad cpu, you see high acpi execution time. Also as a sanity check, avoid running bloatware like nzxt cam, corsair link, aisuite or a software that asks for the status of everything in your system every few seconds (like hwinfo) if possible.

I have reinstalled my graphics drivers (Clean Install after removing using DDU) and network driver, also not running any such bloatware. However still getting similar results from LatencyMon :(

Main problem seems to be Wdf01000.sys, others have execution time below 1ms
