Computer freezing

Hi guys, 2 weeks ago my computer restarted itself when I was playing a game.
Then, 2 days ago, when i was playing bf4, the com hanged, requiring a hard reboot. The problem appeared again today when i was playing deus ex human revolution director's cut. The screen just blacked out and the computer became unresponsive. I thought it might be a PSU issue so i changed it. After changing the problem didn't go away; while playing bf4 the computer hanged again. I tried to restart it but it didn't manage to come on the first time, giving me only a black screen. Then, the 2nd time it restarted successfully, only to hang again shortly after when i was only surfing the web.

Can you guys help to diagnose what the problem could be? Thanks a lot!

check your cpu and gpu temperatures on idle and load (you can use speedfan software)

Check your ram for errors (memtest)

I have been monitoring the temps when gaming. Maximum temp for cpu is 65 degrees celsius and 71 for gpu. Those temps i get when running bf4. When running dxhr, I get 60 for both cpu and gpu. I don't think temps are the problem here.

I've stress tested my cpu using prime95 for 2 hours on small ffts. The highest the cpu went was 70 degrees celsius. Should I stress test my gpu too?

How long should I run memtest to be sure it isn't a ram problem? I've run it for 1 pass without any errors. Is it enough?

install memtest to a usb and boot from it

Ok I've tried stress testing my GPU. Hanged around 30+ minutes.

Then I tried memtest, first using both sticks. After a while the system shut down.

I removed 1 stick and tried again. Memtest stopped running and the system became unresponsive. Had to restart. I used the other stick this time and the same thing happened. After several tries with the same result I decided to try using another slot. It worked this time, giving me several passes with no errors, so i left it running and went to sleep. When I woke up the computer had shut itself down again. I tried running the test again using the same stick, and again the com shut down after a while.

And here I am.

Any ideas?

Try removing gpu and do memtest to ensure that it is really ram problem

when you remove ram and stuff, try to clean it with alcohol or eraser on the pins(gold part). Don't use drinking alcohol.

Sometimes after a long while dust get trap and affects the connection.
You can try cleaning your gfx card pins as well

CPU 60+? Try reapplying the thermal paste also bro.Kinda high and not really good for the long run.

Now the computer shuts down randomly as well, in addition to the hard freezes i'm getting. When the hard freezes happen i press the reset button but the com only shuts down. The problems can happen during memtest or during normal windows activity.
Happening more frequently as well. I'll try to clean the contacts and test again before reporting back. Thanks.

Some updates:

I pulled out the GPU and tested the RAM using memtest, all the while running on the HD4000 iGPU through a VGA port. The first time, the screen turned black, but at the left side of the screen i could see a vertical line of red pixels. The system then shut down soon after.

This morning I tried to run again. After about 3 or 4 passes of memtest, the screen started flickering with rainbow colours. Then the computer shut down. 2 more times this happened.

I plugged the HD7850 back in and tested again. This time, the screen just froze at the memtest page and shut down.

Should I go ahead and buy some RAM to test?

Try testing only 1 piece of ram? Swap if fail.
