My computer lost power on two separate occasions, both times while I was playing a game. When I powered up the system right after it shut down it took a few seconds before pressing the power button turned on the system again.
There was also a moment where I was alerted to the system turning itself on (which was a mystery) and it happened quite recently. I honestly think the motherboard is dying on me, but fingers crossed it isn't dying so soon.
I also suspect the PSU may be at fault as well but I only recently replaced the PSU, and I really doubt the PSU may be causing the intermittent start-ups and shutdowns. Either way, I need some pointers on what may be causing the issue.
I have a hunch that my motherboard was slightly damaged from my last PSU that gave out in an exciting manner, that is to say it blew up with sparks. I can still remember the smell of smoke coming out of it, but I digress. Any suggestions?
