About 2 weeks ago, I was using the computer and it was raining outside. I saw a flash of lightning and my computer auto reboot. (Household power didn't trip).
Then the computer turn on for 3 sec, off for 3 sec then turn on 3 sec and off completely. So I took apart the computer and put them back again.
The computer was able to boot up but it will auto reboot whenever I start to play game / watch video / sometimes just opening the browser. I noticed that the GPU is making loud sound and realized one of the fan is not working anymore and the other is running full speed.
So I took out the GPU (GTX 760) and put in my old graphic card (6870), the computer was working fine (can play game, watch movie) but it will auto reboot every once in a while. Today, it suddenly shut down again and I couldn't on it back until I took apart the computer, reseat the ram (plus using eraser to rub the metal part), reset the cmos battery for 5 minutes.
My question would be:
The graphic card (GTX 760) is most likely faulty, as least one of the fan is not working (going to try and RMA)
For the most recent reboot and shut-down (after changing to 6870), could it be that the Motherboard or Power-supply is faulty as well?
If so, can I just RMA the motherboard and PSU ?
