Hi,
Dont know is the right place to ask this.
Planning to take a flight from SG-Penang. Want to bring along my PC mini ITX.
Can I bring it on the plane? Hand carry or check in?
Its about the size of shoe box and fit inside a gym bag.
Thank you.

If can fit in backpack, that is no issue.

Unless you remove the battery.
Else might need to hand carry.

The treatment should be no different from bringing a tablet or laptop since they are all electronic devices. I certainly won't recommend putting it in your check in luggage knowing that it will be handled very roughly. It is the same logic as to why people don't check in their laptop, but hand carry it.

Bought some Instapak Quick plastic seal for cushion see how is goes.
Must take out for X-ray scan just like laptop etc.
If cant go thru must bring back home then LPPL liao.

Yo. How was your trip? Planning to bring back PC in components/disassembled state for my parents. Contemplating whether should I put the mobo in my laptop bag because of the battery.

It's just a cr2032 battery, you can just remove it for peace of mind.

Those are lithium metal battery. Generally they are allowed carry or checked.

Mine is mini itx, i put it inside my cabin size hand carry luggage. Stuffed with clothes all around it. I didn’t take anything out from the cpu.
During xray i just unzip the luggage, lie it flat n go thru scan. Didn’t take it out.
Monitor i put inside original box also stuffed clothes and checked in.

Notebook already allowed and in fact with the battery, is more "dangerous". 🤣
