Computer restarting in loops

I’m running a ASRock B85M-Pro mobo with intel cpu and a piece of ram, powered by seasonic g series psu.

Nothing else is connected, just the cpu and Mother board cables connected. It was previously working before I powered it down for 2 days.

Now it just turns on and off by itself every 2 seconds or so and each time it also lasts around 1-2 seconds. Psu and cpu fans are spinning.
I got a internal speaker to see what beeps it will produce but there is no sound out of it.

The mobo has been around for like 3-4 years and the psu was also rma a couple of years ago.

Any idea which part is dying/dead? I have no idea where to start..

Note that a bad RAM contact (or bad RAM), or corrupted CMOS (just do a reset, and change your battery if needed) can also have the same symptom.

I removed my ram and it didn’t beep either (the beeper is working, tested before). Is that normal? I think that is because it resets after 2 seconds, giving it no time to post and beep? I am going to try to reset cmos first before changing battery

Try different psu if doesn't work most likely cpu/mobo dead.

Good observation of the mobo BIOS not having enough time to POST due to 2 sec power cycle. I'm putting my money on the PSU (most likely 12V line), though chance of corrupted BIOS or faulty board can't be ruled out.

Thanks guys, I switched the battery and cleared the cmos but still the same. Like you guys said I will be getting a new psu since it is aging and out of warranty anyway. I will get a new set to test and see how it goes.

Most likely mobo. I had the same problem on ASRock B85-killer.
