Hang in there bro! just 2 more years only! If you planning to change course, they will see your

current results but no harm trying!

No matter what, just don't quit school especially you used up your tuition grant loan for 1 year already. Next time, if you are planning to enrol into local university again, you have to pay unsubsidised tuition fees.

Before you quit, ask yourself this question and answer it truthfully.
"Have I put in 100% effort?"
If the answer is yes and you are still struggling, please end your misery and pick another course. It simply means CS is not meant for you.

If your answer to that is No(means you still have a lot of free time doing other stuff), You may wanna improve your time management and spend more time.

If the root of the problem is not solved, no matter what course you go to, you will end up with the same sentiment.

Might not be that easy to just 'change course'. Just because TS wants to doesnt mean the school will allow it. If like that, everyone will just apply to engineering, with a lower cut-off, then change course to biz or law.

NUS? Pretty sure you can still change track to IS.. if NTU, no choice, just suck it up. Doubt your gpa is good enough to get you to a different course if it did, you probably wouldn't have created this thread.

I am not too sure how change course works in NTU, but NUS its pretty straight forward, they will take the cut-off point for the year that u r admitted. As long as you meet the cut-off, they will allow you to change.

I was from NTU Computer Engineering (class of 2002). Last time I also everything catch no ball. Especially when u need to compete with all the scholars lagi worse. In the end I still managed to graduate with 2nd upper.

Just give urself sometime and things might change for the better once u get used to uni life.

If change to other humanities mod like Chinese

will it be better?

better in terms of wat?

In terms of career prospect, no.
In terms of course difficulties, depends. Chinese at university level is not going to be easy, and you have to compete against the PRCs in Chinese.

I think if you have passion for that course, should just change...
but it's really not for me to say it so simply

Not very clear on what you mean.

If your change of course application is approved, you will become a new student for that approved degree course.
For transfer of credits, is on case by case basis. Which is why it is important for you to meet up with authorities from both computer science and the humanities course you desire to see how you can successfully make the transition.
