Hey guys! Need fellow Bros here advice! I would like to give my computer a good cleaning soon and would like to know what safety precautions I would need to take because I would like to re-arrange the wires as the wires are a bit messy.

As mentioned, ensure that you ground your hands before touching components (touching a grounded metal part on the casing should work). Also make sure you note which wires go where, have cable ties handy to tidy up the cables.

Use a dust blower for best results to clear accumulated dust (hint: do it outdoors)!

Can also try those air dusters used by photographers, connect a small tube for hard to reach areas, but can use until hand sore I think :s13:

My build coming to 1 yr anniversary soon, very light layer of dust inside, don't feel like need to do any cleaning :o

Buy a small tube of heat sink compound before you start cleaning the system. After a few years of daily usage, most likely the compound dried and hardened, time for a new coat of compound to minimize the probability of overheating for the next 2-3 years.

Those are liquids that become gases upon release but they don't do much, if any harm to the hardware

I think datavac would be a good, though expensive substitute since compressed air can is not very good for the environment and not cost effective :(
