Would my cpu bottleneck the gtx970? Or am I better off upgrading part by part? Forgot to mention I already have a seasonic 500w psu. Would it be enough for gtx970?

Also a question for upgrading RAM, my current kingston ram is 1333mhz. Would a 4gb 1666mhz stick be compatible or should I replace both at 1 go?

i5 760 will not bottleneck gtx 970. Infact, i5 760 can run GTX Titan which is way better than gtx 970 without bottleneck issue.

Yes but the 1600mhz ram will run at 1333mhz. Motherboard will recognize the slowest speed.
