Have been using this computer for around 3-4 years and my video card is dead. So i would need to buy a video card but i am noob at computering if anyone can help me? thanks.

What about those sub-$50 cards like GT 210 and HD 5450?

For people without integrated graphics, are they any good for 2D desktop and HD movie watching?

Used to be looking for these extreme entry level cards but have since given them up for low-mid range card like GT 640 as they do not offer enough horsepower for madVR offering the best PQ among all renderers.

If you belongs to the majority who isn't picky enough about the image details then these recent gen IGPs* and lowest end discrete graphics with EVR-CP will do fine, as they offer full fledged hardware decoding for most codecs and much better video post processing features than those primitive IGPs.

Anything IGP from 2012 onwards...
