Condo security don’t allow me to enter

Hi everyone,

Can MCST and security guard forbid me to enter? I’m an owner and recently I purchase 3 dining chairs at ikea and called lalamove to help with the delivery to my house. It was around 9pm and the security refuse to let lalamove in saying it’s pass 5pm for delivery. So I came home and went to the guardhouse and told the security I’ll hand carry it into my house and they refuse to let me in as well and told me to return my 3 chairs to ikea and have them deliver in the morning. As they deem 3 chairs as bulky item and don’t allow me to use the lift hence I’m not allowed to bring in the chairs myself. They called the MCST and they told the security to refuse me! Am I in the wrong or are they??

Your security are also really too much lah. Give some flexibility .

Whether right or wrong is up to your condo management instruction to the security.

not sure how big is the chair coz ikea stuffs are usually packed as compact as possible for self assemble .

last time i needed to go to condo to fix the gas appliance and ended up the security told me all vendors and companies / contractors vehicles are not allowed to be in on the Saturday . Ended up i have to park my company vehicle opposite which is the hdb car park and walked in

Thats the problem with condo mcst and security, you apply flexibility later some owners complain here and there so now all security officers follow by the book. As owners we suck thumb and need to understand the timing n etc from mcst

Delivery car ok but why cannot hand carry

Lalamove van or lorry? Last week, i forgot to bring over my pc table while moving house, had to engage lalamove for it.

Before i did that, i went to guard house and explained my situation. They say as long as its a van below 2m height and mention package delivery, shld be fine. It was on a Sunday afternoon.

Perhaps u shld have clarified with guard 1st before proceeding.
