configuring RAID on sabertooth z77

hi guys,

first of all, im not sure whether this is the right place, if it isnt, mod boss pls kindly shift thank you.

next, i hv a sabertooth z77. and i intend to do a RAID 1 system. i previously hv configured one and it seem so easy. but this time i am unable to get it.

guys, anyone can help me out?

Set BIOS to RAID instead of IDE/AHCI
Press Ctrl + I on boot up

i did change the bios setting to RAID alr. and almost as it boots up, i quickly spam ctrl + i immediately. don hv that raid screen showing up...

Bios version.

Can provide which Raid 1 how many storage and plug into Intel or Asmedia?

bios ver 1805.
both drive for RAID 1 in Intel plug. ssd for os in asmedia port another hdd data also in asmedia.

for the RAID 1 both drive is identical, bought the same seagate 2tb barracuda.

Enter bios set enable SATA control Raid.

Press Ctrl - I enter Intel Raid setup page: config Seagate 2TB 2x as Raid 1

ohh okay thank you. you saying that my current bios i cant set raid?

and how come switch the raid hdd to sata 3gb? both can use up to sata 6gb. i wanna maximize the full performance of it.

Let OS use Intel 6gb/s

Always keep up to date bios...

Your current bios can enable raid.

ohh but then will there be a significant performance drop if i use raid in sata2?

my current can? but im not able to y is this so?

Your HDD in raid 1 can't even fully utilize Sata 2 bandwidth.......

I think you might have config wrong settings in the bios.

Can take photo of your bios menu?

ohh is it? okay.. noted will go change. uhm so far the only setting i changed was sata config from ahci to raid. but then whenever i boot up, im unable to access the intel raid config.

will take and upload soon. need a lil time :)

imaged attached. another qns. i hv configured the method you mentioned. earlier before doing that, i had the intel raid setting in bios mode. but after reset and configure to your method, i lost it, is there any way to get it back?

What do you mean by lost it?

which drive is missing? are you able to enter Intel Raid config page? Ctrl-I

i don mean my drive is missing but then eatlier i had the intel rapid storage tab in my bios. after i set to default. it disappear. i can still access via ctrl + i. in bios its another form of controlling the raid but nos is no longer there.

Press Ctrl + I enter the raid settings, reset all raid array and set the 2 seagate as Raid 1 - 128k
