Anyone here engaged confinement ladies through confinement agencies? Can share which one did you use and how was your experience with them.

my family used PEM. ok, not bad... no bad experience.. depends on the nanny u chose

I used Super Nanny 3 years ago. Solid experience although every agency has good and bad nannies so its "luck" unless you have researched a lot on some agencies and you see one or two nannies being consistently rated good or excellent, then you can choose her

being a first time parents, we met up with a few agencies and also some freelancers. As the EDD was CNY period this year, we decided to go ahead with agency for a peace of mind. (have heard some freelancers will not come out during CNY etc).

we chose PEM in the end not because they are the largest in singapore but because we spent time browsing forum and shortlist those CLs who are heavily recommended.

Agencies are there for a reason. They have new nannies (training in progress or they are trying to "groom" them) and those old bird nannies. Of course those old bird nannies are highly recommended and probably have to pay a premium for special requests too. They may send you a new bird and if not up to expectations you can ask for a change. So yeah really by luck too.

for my first born, i used a freelancer confinement lady through words of mouth from my SIL. so ask around your friends and see if they have good experience with their confinement lady...

this is my key consideration before i went for agency, another reason is my NB EDD is new CNY so i better play safe.
