Might be helpful also if you list down some of your basic requirements i.e. do you want those super strict type or those more lax type, is the ability to cook well important, etc etc.

Can try asking in the motherhood forum for FL. I went for PEM and it was good experience (1 kid so far). My sister went FL end up cost about the same (2.8k) leh. Go through agency better if cost is around the same... Imagine cannot get along with her or if she has unforeseen circumstances, there will be backup CLs quickly available especially in such stressful and tiring period.

nope... for my past 2 experiences of hiring Malaysia CL, i didnt get any insurance for them

I really highly recommend my CL! She is hands down awesome!! Took care of me and baby #2 really well and even play with my #1 toddler when she was with us the 1.5 months. She is those that give 100% to her work, very friendly and professional de! <3

I thought we are supposed to apply WP for her, is it common practice not to apply?

Maybe cos my wife want to hire the CL/CN for 40 days that's why she asked us to apply WP for her. But although she never mentioned about insurance, but the MOM website mentions it ...

You should buy medical insurance of at least $15,000 to cover your nanny during her employment with you.

cos of 40 days,traditionally, people usually do 28 days confinement so they just come on social pass. then save the foreign worker levy and trouble. Also, if they accumulate more then 60 days on work permit, they could be subjected to tax.

but legally, everyone is supposed to apply. can't work on social pass.

if you do apple WP, yes, u need insurance. its not expensive but its usually for a year. not sure if they have any for short term.

Hi !! Will like to know if she is available for sept to October 2022 ? Will like to know also if she prepares food that are with a lot of tonics and herbs etc ?
