Conserving battery

Which conserves more battery? Turning off location service or turning off wifi?

Some ppl say battery is wasted if you leave wifi on permanently as its constantly scanning for signals. So its better to turn it off unless you are home or in the office and you know for sure there is wifi.

Likewise some ppl say you should just turn on location service when you need it e.g. when using SBS Iris app or Grab Taxi. Then after that turn it off.

What do you guys recommend?

Turn off wifi when not in used.
Location Services u can tweak it on Settings > Privacy > Location Services.
Set to "Never" if you don't want the specific app to use Location Services and set to "While Using" if there is this option for that app.

Didn't know you could do that on iPhone. Seem to recall no such option to turn on location service for certain apps on Android.

I usually don't turn on wifi unless in office or at home. Location services wise, only turn on when needed, else will be off.

From my experience keeping wifi on but disconnected doesn't have (much of) an impact on battery life. For me.. 6 plus and air 2
