I am currently doing a sch project on how small players in the console game retailing market can remain competitive despite competition from larger chain retailers. I would like your help in completing this short short survey. Thank you for your time!

I have submitted my response to your survey for your Economics Extended Essay Research Paper.

I believe small console game shops and even larger brick and mortar chain console game retail stores (such as TOG - Toy or Game) will have a tough time to survive amongst competition from online digital store for pre-order bonuses and pre-loading of content for 12mn release launch dates by publishers and developers.

All my purchases were online pre-orders on Sony Digital Store (PSN) for my PS5.
I spend approximately $100 to $200 per month excluding PSN subscription cost.

@zzyzx9 i hope it helps your school project’s research efforts because you have to look at the sheer volume of online digital sales over the past 3 years from 2020 to 2023. All PC games had went digital with no hardcopy retail available and then comes PS4 PS5 where the PSN is the most convenient place to purchase per-order and games can even be bought on the go on PS mobile application. Just once click linked to local bank’s credit card and it’s done!
