I'm telling u... this would most prob be pilot error.

Pilot forgot to do something
Will take very long for them to investigate and confirm source of accident.

in the meantime, I will take safer airlines with no pilots in question. After all, I only have one life…

Mayday call

Authorities are working to piece together what happened to Air India flight AI171.

Here’s what we know so far.

Air traffic control at Ahmedabad airport said the aircraft departed at 1.39pm local time (4.09pm Singapore time) from runway 23.

It gave a "Mayday" call, signalling an emergency, but thereafter there was no response from the aircraft.

Flightradar24 also said that it received the last signal from the aircraft seconds after it took off.

Air India chairman N Chandrasekaran has confirmed that flight AI171 was involved in an accident.

In a post on Tata Group's X page, Mr Chandrasekaran said his thoughts are with the families and loved ones affected by this devastating incident.

"At this moment, our primary focus is on supporting all the affected people and their families. We are doing everything in our power to assist the emergency response teams at the site and to provide all necessary support and care to those impacted."

"Further updates will be shared as we receive more verified information. An emergency centre has been activated and support team have been set up for families seeking information," he said.

The Tata Group acquired Air India in January 2022.
