I think he is wearing cycling shoes with cleats which locks his shoes to the pedals that's why he fell.

Yes correct, before that he also sway sway kena a small hole on the road thus the imbalance happened. But i see he control well to minimise the impact on the car, he use his right arm to block, prevent his bike from scratching the car...
