welcome to spandex logic 101: got any issues also not cyclists issues, it's always someone or something else, so please stop exposing and showing videos of errant cyclists and stop discussing errant cyclists as we have to draw your attention away with other spotlightRead carefully what I wrote.
Video showed 2 things.
1) poor parenting issue
2) driver got to bear damages created by the bicycle failing to stop in time and knocking onto it.
Purpose of this thread is to discuss liability issue that involves 2 parties that is totally unrelated.
Not poor parenting issue which involved only the family.

Parents cycle in fron while children behind.Just saw this while scrolling fb..
It might be abit overdue but this really highlight the importance on the need for cyclists to get compulsory insurance to cover liability towards third party.. I pity the kid that is born into this idiot ang mo family... hope she's OK.
But in this case as mentioned in the feed, the driver got to bear all the consequence for something that isn't his fault. I guess his NCD will get affected too. Is it fair??
Link below in case video doesn't pop up. Someone can post it up. I don't know how to post the video

The driver must bear some responsibility for failing to keep lookout and not slowing when turning. From the still photo, you can already see the cyclist from the side.
if cyclists bang into cars or pedestrians and don't want to be responsible nor have any insurance, then they shohld stop cycling and take public transport? The driver must bear some responsibility for failing to keep lookout and not slowing when turning. From the still photo, you can already see the cyclist from the side.
My colleague had a delivery rider bang into him in a similar situation.
If drivers' don't like the burden of responsiblity, then stop driving and take public transport.
Ban them from pedestrian walkways as well.Just ban cyclist on the road, problem solve
Confirm got fine?Well as you can see, few days ago they kena fined.
I see the only "fault" for the driver is not speeding up after he turned left. If he increased slightly a bit more, the child wouldn't have knocked onto the car..The driver must bear some responsibility for failing to keep lookout and not slowing when turning. From the still photo, you can already see the cyclist from the side.

iC and fin number tooMake them wear their names on their back.
Next time illegal for such outings without names
What’s the hand signal for beating red light ?One look can tell you don't cycle. We will use hand signal.
Step 1: Look behind, check clear
Step 2: Give hand signal
Step 3: Look behind, check clear
Step 4: Filter lane/turn left.
If step 3 didn't clear, repeat until the road is safe to proceed.
Because u no tour de france . U will never understand.
Not me and the cyclists I know. Not sure where you see them and who are these people. I suspect they are the si ginnas fixie or fake handicapped pmd food pestI rarely see hand signals from cyclists.
They like to make right angle turns from pedestrian walkway and cycle into zebra crossing.
This forces the vehicles to jam brake.
Check with LTA better bro, I am not LTA cannot anyhow bom a figure
None, just like your car. What’s the hand signal for beating red light ?
