My side retarded. It's a shared path between cyclist and walking, one side cycle one side walk. Then they build sheltered walkway. The shelter only cover the walking lah sia raining day all the cyclist ride on the cyclist path dunno which dumb ass do this idea. Shared path becum one path rabak

You look at this region all the countries

Where else can you find huge side walks on the street? Continuous somemore
Taipei got, some pathway bigger than ours & they follow strictly.
Unlike SG here, anyhow walk anyhow cycle everywhere.

Too many bicycles, walk a few step, bicycle come in fast sounding their bell aggressively, they act like they own the pavement.

To those riding with their kids, please practise some patient, you never know the people you ring the bell aggressively might be some siang Lang and attack you.

Thank

It’s LTA fault

How about pedestrian walkway positioned between a main road and a bicycle pathway?

Waiting to see which side crashes though?

Was in KL Bukit Bintang last month and their streets are so safe for walking! Mall security actually stops cyclists from riding on the walkways, and I didn't see a single PMA or PMD the whole month I was there. 😂

This is the issue when the dumb gov go put pedestrians path as shared path... Now cyclists think they got the right of way and just speed regardless of pedestrian safety. I already kana brushed few times by many of this idiots.

Actually now a lot better leh. Back then when e-scooters first came into SG, before the ban on pavements, I was damn damn stressed every day walking my 3 and 6-year-old to school. We basically had to walk in one row, with me acting like a commander shouting “Keep to your left!” almost every few minutes because got one zooming past us… heart attack!!!! Their speed really no joke. If kena bang, sure gg sia.

Bicycles were originally banned on walkways in Singapore.

Then, in 2016, that stupid Active Mobility Advisory Panel advised the government to undo the ban.

AMAP places the safety of cyclists above the pedestrians.

pedestrian paths are not safe anymore. they should have seperated the paths by not making them flushed.

Ya lor. Cos they don’t really “walk on pavement” mah. Only parents like us know what we had to deal with back then. Every time hear one coming from behind, immediately become gan cheong and tell the kids keep left.

Agree sia! Keep beep beep beep like 1 sec delay then going to die. Sometimes already trying to shift and make way, but they still keep beeping. I understand some are rushing, but hello, I’m human leh. Need a bit of time to react also what.

Many of our paths are not designed for people and cyclists, too narrow with no room to extend, end up many cyclists also ride fast and refuse to give way
