In my opinion, for this election:

Hou has not demonstrated the ability to act independently or communicate his plans clearly to the public. He has not shown the necessary leadership qualities to make independent decisions or effectively engage with the Taiwanese people.

Lai's approach to dissent has been criticized as aggressive, and he has a history of refusing to admit to mistakes. His inflexibility and unwillingness to consider alternative viewpoints could hinder effective communication, especially in delicate situations.

While China favors the KMT, they may not actively oppose the TPP. The USA's support for both the DPP and TPP complicates the political landscape.

Both are 外省二代but Taiwan born. During their time, 台語/歌cannot be spoken/broadcast in public( curfew period). Dian si kee only have 老三台. Han can speak better 台語than Zhao tho.

zhao shaokang ancestry is 涉县 (last time henan but now assigned to hebei), he does speak some hokkien but not so fluent.

han guoyu ancestry is 商丘 (henan), though his wife is local tw lineage. he tries to speak hokkien at times, but can tell not so good. probably worse than terry gou

nearly all the kmt top brass are non local-taiwan ancestry , even zhu lilun the chairman (but he speaks good hokkien because his mum is from a significant local tw family)

wu dong is also outside ancestry (jiangxi) btw, even though he is ex dpp and use a lot hokkien.

it is not that.... I see he has valid reason not to demolish:

1. the land authority already clarified the land at the miner is special case does not subject to normal land law. so there is no need for him to demolish. He just follow the guideline from land authority and not subject to public pressure.

2. if he sets the precedent to demolish, many of the miner house also will kena and he basically sabo all the old miner. they have done so much in their life and just keep them in peace why demolish the old miner house?
