WP is the 无间道. Last GE is PAP lite, now even whiter become PAP like liao.

Maybe but it seem this is the opposition most well liked by sinkies as shown by the result. Better than totally no opposition in parliament.

WP is slowly catering to the form sinkies favour. Cold hard truth, if not they wont win majority of votes to win any grc.

Majority sinkies dont like confrontational opposition and like mild manner type. They also like highly educated opposition to be a basic yardstick for a quality opposition.

Jalan Kayu is as good as entering backdoor with a GRC.. This is carve out of AMK lei.. He already got support from LHL, LHL already said that they will all work together under AMK Town Council.. This is as good as parachuting along side AMK GRC, but give him a better image as if he fought solo and get back in..

Some really should stop thinking that NCM got the short end if LW really sent him there, at least i dont believe he is out of favor or anything.. in fact everything shows the opposite, he is probably the most well taken care off after losing the last GE, they really want him back and likely will be appointed minister (he's a minister previously, i doubt he will just be a part time MP after all these years of waiting for a comeback..)

if ncm runs for JKSMC, he sure win one. that SMC was carved out specially for him.

majority of the electorates are from AMK and landed property electorate. he sure win one.

but after he win that SMC and whether or not that SMC become as lok as SKGRC we will see.

either way, whatever happens to JKSMC, i expect it will be absorbed back to AMKGRC in 2030 GE

adding on, i am surprised all the IBs have nothing good to say about him either. its either his accomplishments are state secrets or he is really just a Yes Man and just do as he is told which is arguably; be a vase.

the next 2 to take over them, Kee Chiu and waiting for NCM to come back…..they will likely put either Kee Chiu or NCM 2nd for defence and MHA after election and if NCM wins. Then 1 year down the road Shammie and Hen step down from MHA and Defence. But remain as MP and fully retire by 2030.

Law will be a wide card, cos can either go to Indranee or Tong. But with the latest fiasco, I just have a feeling Law will go to Tong eventually while Indranee will take over Tong post.

Despite doing no ground work at all, Lim Tean is convinced that he can win back Potong Pasir after 14 long years. Will the noise from Lim Tean be enough to easily defeat Sitoh Yih Pin, an entrenched PAP incumbent?

Even if people are frustrated with PAP, are they all going to cast their votes for Lim Tean and some random uncles whom they have not seen before?

I think I also know Lim Tean have in mind.

question all you want, it’s everyone’s right. just seems fair to put the same lens on her, so people understand what it feels like to be under scrutiny. from the reactions, looks like some would totally flip out if the same scrutiny were applied to them — whether they’re earning millions or just thousands

it’s another way of making a living bah.

these types of scholars can easily stay out of the public eye and become GLC ceos — a much easier life than being a politician. politicians have to sacrifice weekends, kiss babies, shake hands. with such credentials, better to avoid politics: lower pay, no privacy.

that’s why the brightest minds avoid politics, same as in singapore. take shou zi chew, for example. clean-cut image, strong presentation skills, easily PM material. but of course, he won’t do it, for all the reasons mentioned above. same with someone like jamie dimon from jp morgan.

would definitely vote for a solid alternative if one existed, but current options leave much to be desired.

how can you said chew has the brightest mind?
By p@p yardstick, he’s not even a scholar, only their scholars are considered the best, the smartest and the best leader.
