Seems like HP have some plans for her own.
Not to sink with the GRC candidates if they lose.
I was expecting LMW to go for SMC instead.
more like cos PSP expect to lose due to the change in boundary.

but they only have chance to win GRC if LMW still in the GRC.

so of course send their 2nd best to go for SMC so that still got chance. they send LMW to SMC is basically saying that they are giving up on GRC.

Not sure if it will be smart since Jurong Central seat is damn hard to win.

Better concentrate all power at West Coast. Field all star team there

Or they can go for 3 SMC instead of 1 GRC.
The big bite for the GRC is a bit tough.
However, the time is now or never.

They cannot put every eggs inside the same basket.
One of them have to go for SMC.
It is a case of who should be the person.
Got a feeling of Hazel jumping the gun since the party is not decided yet.

There will be no NCMP this time if response is good.

She doesn’t seem very smart to me.
firstly, she have already fallen into the trap set by CCS. Why care about what CCS said in last election? nobody will rem anyway. And CCS statement is irrelevant anyway. Did Hazel Poa get into parliament via the coattails of Tan Cheng Bock?
secondly, as one of the senior leaders of the party, she should be seen as standing in solidarity with the other leaders such as LMW and TCB. Now she gives the impression she wish to decide (and not the party) to be fielded in SMC instead of GRC

Hazel Poa should consider contesting Marymount since it was PSP's best performing SMC at the last GE. PSP got 45% there back in 2020.

The danger of putting all eggs in one GRC basket is that with the gerrymandering done to West Coast, all of them could lose and they may not even get a NCMP seat.

If Hazel Poa goes to Marymount, there's a chance of getting elected even if the West Coast team doesn't win. The boundaries of Marymount SMC haven't been changed unlike West Coast GRC.

SMC is no longer easier to win these days. With exception of opposition held SMC, most of the SMC that are carved out from GRC usually are precincts that have shown higher level of support for PAP. If Hazel Poa thinks the likes of Jurong Central SMC, Queenstown SMC or even Pioneer SMC is easier to win than West Coast Jurong GRC, she is very much mistaken

Yes, usually those seats carved out as SMCs are PAP strongholds or places with popular PAP incumbents.

The most winnable SMC this time is Jalan Kayu and it looks like a multi-cornered fight will help Bro Ng return to parliament.

They must get some one inside the house this time.
Or else they can close shop liao.
Unfortunately, LMW should be the one that the residents want to push.
However, if he goes with the GRC team, it will take some huge leap of faith for them to win it.
If LMW and HP both contest for SMC, then their GRC team can forget about it.

As for the area to contest, I guess they have to figure it out.

How did Workers’ Party react to winning Sengkang GRC from PAP? Why do we still need to increase GST? Why is a one-party system no longer ideal in 2025?

In today’s podcast, we invite Sengkang GRC MPs, He Ting Ru, Jamus Lim and Louis Chua, for a deep dive into Singapore’s political landscape, including what it’s like to be an opposition party in Singapore, what to expect from the opposition heading into Singapore General Elections 2025, and whether the vote YOU cast is truly anonymous.

Think have to get a foot in the door first bah. Then have the opportunity to push the door wide open. Just like how WP did. This is a not very forgiving system. And most people are conditioned not to have that leap of faith.

Think maybe that's the plan. The weakness on the other side will help to sneak in own one even if its weak. Best is the other side throw their heavy weight in. Kill many birds with one stone. :s22:
