Why no oppo parties want Jay? He going solo at Queenstown SMC. Thought he was friend friend with most of the oppo parties…something wrong ah
I recalled he did the walkabout with some of the opp people.
I guess he did not click with any one of them.
Or they may not want to nominate him as their candidate.
So, it is better for him to run on his own.

One more thing.
There are certain issues that he want to tackle.
The individual parties may not see eye to eye with him.

Lastly, he have a strong mind of his own.
The party may have issues in trying to tame him.

Because their vote share in Holland-Bukit Timah GRC improved by a mere 0.24% from GE2015 to GE2020. In GE2020, there was a 8% swing against PAP but their improvement was so marginal. It doesn't seem like a good investment at all.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holland–Bukit_Timah_Group_Representation_Constituency

In contrast, SDP overperformed in other areas like Bukit Panjang SMC, Bukit Batok SMC and Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC. Holland-Bukit Timah was the only outlier.

This GE, it looks like PSP and SDP are focusing on areas where they have a chance, reducing the number of seats contested to optimise use of resources.
Think SDP got bad results Holland-Bukit Timah GRC in GE2020 because of Tan Jee Say because people still see him as a PAP mole who split the votes to cost TCB to lose the Presdential election by only 7000 votes and he got hated by many swing voters for that.

Some of the mosquito parties will withdraw on nomination day especially if the other opposition opponent is WP or PSP

Just curious, can they actually do a poll to see how many prefer who to run in which place when there are clashes?
