He’s explained the party’s lack of resources. It takes a lot of resources to contest in a GRC. If they have enough to contest 25-26 seats only, then they have to take a decision to choose which to drop. Like I say, no one really know what is happening at Tampines. They have walked the ground in Tampines and maybe now more confident of their chances at Tampines than MP, especially now that MP have absorbed Macpherson. A lot of people underestimated TPL’s popularity there.

I realised a strikingly similar trend .

previous dpm HSK got stroke , supposed to retire but went to contest EC in GE2020 . Retired 5 yrs later .

GKY actually wanted to retire but asked to be dpm so he stayed on … now he’s helming Punggol …

perhaps he will retire next GE ?
