WP should be able to keep all 3 (Aljunied,Hougang,Sengkang).

Of the other 5 places WP is contesting at, I am listing below from most votes to least votes.

1 Tampines
2 Punggol
3 Tampines Changkat
4 East Coast
5 Jalan Kayu

Maybe Tampines got chance that WP might seek a chance. All the rest, I think not likely.

I hope PSP manage to stay in Parliament.

Based on Australia results where it swings to the governing labour, I guess the positive swing towards the PAP might be incoming.

maybe PAP will lower GST after this GE to please the masses
Will that really lower prices? Not sure, even if GST is lowered (super duper unlikely), businesses will just adjust prices accordingly so that their profit margins are not unaffected, so overall to consumers, $ overall won't go down.

The empire, long divided, must unite; long united, must divide. Thus it has ever been.

Goh Meng Seng eyeing next election

As the polls closed, People's Power Party chief Goh Meng Seng drove up to St Hilda's Secondary School in Tampines, one of the counting centres.

Mr Goh is leading a team comprising party chairman Derrick Sim, 44, landscaping executive Vere Nathan, 26, green tech firm founder Peter Soh, 65, and entrepreneur Arbaah Haroun, 50, in the election's only four-way fight.

His party is up against the ruling People's Action Party, Workers' Party and National Solidarity Party.

Mr Goh said he visited some of the polling stations today and found the voting process smooth. He added that he's been following the news and chatter online.

"I'm sure that there are people out there, whether it's on Facebook ... who are actually quite supportive of our campaign. However, I think that that may not be enough, right, to push through for this time round.

“But as I've said in my last rally, whatever the results come out for this election, we will work to build our party, and we will contest in Marine Parade-Braddell Heights in the next election."

For this election, PPP fielded 10 candidates in two constituencies – Tampines GRC and Ang Mo Kio GRC.

Mr Goh had earlier in the hustings made clear his displeasure at the fact that the WP decided not to contest Marine Parade-Braddell Heights, accusing the party of betraying voters.
